Questions: We are in our early 60's, live in PA, are looking at over 55s, and have the minimum liquid cash requirements to buy a home there. (1) How much does it actually cost beyond the mortgage for say a 200k property? Association fee plus real estate taxes plus any other taxes? Obviously, food, utilities and auto are pretty straight forward.(2) Can you have more than one car? (3) We are fairly liberal folks; is the general make-up of the population conservative or liberal or a healthy mix of the two? Basically, is it easy going or do people compare portfolios (size and area of house) to others (we actually lived in a status conscious area for the school district but did not like the mine is bigger and better than yours mentality?
